Brad Hall, Taylor Lawrence, Greg Cackett and Arran Gulliver claimed the first four-man bobsleigh gold of their careers in the Lake Placid World Cup.
Two-time Olympian Hall had guided his team to third after the first run before powering up the standings to claim a first gold to go with four silvers and a bronze in the event.
The ever-present German Francesco Friedrich moved from fourth to second with his compatriot Christoph Hafer claiming the final podium place.
Hafer, Tobias Schneider, Michael Salzer and Kevin Korona had set the early pace with a first run of 55.12 as Michael Vogt of Switzerland sat in second.

Hall's time was just 0.06 seconds away from the lead and he slid his way up the leaderboard with a near-perfect run as others struggled around him.
Vogt dropped down to 10th overall after a disastrous start to his second run put an end to his medal hopes while leader Hafer could not replicate his first run, coming home 0.19 seconds slower as he settled for bronze.
Friedrich, Felix Straub, Candy Bauer and Thorsten Margis could not quite make up the time after their first run left them 0.08 seconds off the pace.
Hall improved by 0.01 seconds from his first run but it was just enough to secure the first gold of his career after nine silvers and two bronzes across two-man and four-man, with Friedrich finishing 0.01 seconds behind.
