Your Country Needs You: show your support for Team GB

Adding to an already star-studded list of celebrities are the final fantastic four to join Team GB’s Great Britons – Dermot O’ Leary, Edith Bowman, Will Young and Eddie Izzard.  The famous foursome will be encouraging the British public to make Team GB the most supported Olympic team ever.

Dermot O’Leary intends to galvanise the support of the nation: “I have absolute faith in the great British public and know that they will come out in force to cheer on Our Greatest Team during the Olympic Games this summer. It would be truly amazing to see people from all over the UK and from all walks of life come together to support our fantastic athletes, so what are you waiting for? Edith Bowman shares his excitement: “I am so proud to be announced as a Great Briton and I just hope that everyone across the nation will join me in doing their bit to show support for Team GB wherever possible - whether it’s by waving your official supporters scarf, or by joining Our Greatest Team online and leaving a message of encouragement. It’s going to be a landmark event in each and every one of our lifetimes so let’s make the most of it.”

Eddie talks about his respect for the athletes: “The greatest sporting event in the world is almost here and best of all it’s taking place on our doorstep, a once in a lifetime experience that’s not to be missed. I’ve done my fair share of sporting challenges but that’s nothing compared to the lifelong dedication our athletes have demonstrated to get this far.
