Simmonds, Allen and Miley all medal at Singapore World Cup

Lizzie Simmonds and Sophie Allen were both back on the medal trail as the Singapore World Cup came to a close with fellow British swimmer Hannah Miley joining them in the Far East.

Simmonds, who claimed double silver on the first day of the sixth short-course World Cup leg, took bronze in the 100m backstroke while Allen collected a second bronze.

Third in the 100m breaststroke, she finished in the same position in the 200m equivalent with Miley the best performing Brit of the lot as she took silver in the 400m medley.

Britain’s swimmers will now head to Tokyo for the penultimate leg of the World Cup series from November 9 to 10 before moving onto Beijing for the finale.
