Alistair Brownlee is one of Yorkshire’s most treasured Olympians, with another being his younger brother Jonny.
Brownlee became the first man to win successive Olympic triathlon titles at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, having won gold at London 2012.
He won the World Under-23 title in 2008, two months before finishing 12th on his Olympic Games debut in Beijing.
After claiming two golds at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and European and World titles that same year, Brownlee started training for long-distance competitions in 2017 and won on his Ironman 70.3 North American Championships debut.
