BIOGRAPHY

Vicky Holland was a nationally ranked swimmer and long-distance runner while at school but only discovered triathlon at Loughborough University, in 2005.

The Gloucester-born triathlete became world champion in 2012 and 2014 as part of the British mixed team relay squad.

And she secured her first major individual medal later that year, winning bronze at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, before claiming another bronze in her second Olympic Games at Rio 2016.

Two years later, Holland became triathlon world champion after holding her nerve to finish second in the ITU World Triathlon Series Grand Final on Australia’s Gold Coast.
