Between 2008 and 2014, Rajiv Ouseph won the senior singles title seven times in a row at the English National Badminton Championships – the longest ever winning streak in the event.

During that time, the Hounslow-born player also won European Championship bronze in 2010, becoming the first English singles player to reach the continental podium in 16 years.

That year he also collected two Commonwealth Games medals in Delhi – one silver, one bronze – and added a third at Glasgow 2014 with silver in the mixed team event.

Having made his Olympic debut at London 2012, Ouseph reached the quarter-finals at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, and was crowned European champion in 2017.
