Pete Smith made his Olympic debut at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games as a member of the Team GB men’s curling team. The men's curling team skipped by David Murdoch narrowly missed out on a semi-final place losing to Sweden in their play-off match, and therefore finishing in fifth place.
Smith has won four World Curling titles and was a member of the men’s curling team who won the World Championships in 1991, 2006 and 2009.
Aside from curling, Smith is a keen golfer and once scored a hole-in-one twice in one game. He works full time for a fertiliser company as an area manager.
