Norman Brown represented Team GB at the Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games in 2002 as part of the men's curling team. The team finished seventh.
Norman first started curling at the age of nine, when Stranraer rink first opened in 1970.
After a brief retirement when he concentrated on his farming, Norman returned in 2002 as fifth man with Team McMillan, to give the team much needed strength in depth.
Norman won three European gold medals and both a silver and bronze at the World Championships.
