Mark Bennett won his first cap for the Scottish 7s team in Port Elizabeth in December 2013 and played in the bowl-winning squad in Hong Kong in March 2014.

He was Scotland’s top scorer in Hong Kong with five tries and helped himself to four tries at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

In the XVs game, Bennett helped Glasgow Warriors to their first ever domestic title in the 2014/15 season before playing for Scotland at the Rugby World Cup, where his performances earned him a nomination for Breakthrough Player of the Year.

In 2016, Bennett represented Team GB for rugby's return to the Olympic Games in Rio and came home with a silver medal.
