BIOGRAPHY

Katherine Copeland only teamed up with lightweight double scull partner Sophie Hosking at the start of the 2012 season, winning silver at the first World Cup of the season in Belgrade.

Later that year, Copeland and Hosking won Team GB's first ever lightweight women's Olympic title at London 2012 – aged just 21.

Copeland partnered with Charlotte Taylor in the build up to Rio 2016, winning a silver medal at the 2015 World Championships in Aiguebelette and European gold in Poznan.

The pair qualified for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games but missed out on the final after a third-place finish in the repechage, with Emily Craig then joining Copeland in the boat for the 2017 World Championships, where they finished fifth.
