  • Date of Birth 30/04/1973
  • Born Ashford

Born in Ashford, Kent, Jamie Staff first got started in BMX when he was nine years old, and won just about everything from the World Championships downwards.

But he wanted to win an Olympic medal, and as BMX was not an Olympic sport at the time, he turned his attention to the track.

He qualified for the Great Britain Cycling team at the first attempt, and after competing at Athens 2004 Staff was part of the gold medal winning, world record-breaking team sprint squad at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games alongside Sir Chris Hoy and Jason Kenny.
