Alpine skiing

  • Date of Birth 05/05/1982
  • Born Glarus

James Leuzinger made his Olympic debut at the Turin 2006 Games in the Alpine Skiing men's slalom.

Although he was originally born in Switzerland, Leuzinger qualifies for British citizenship because his mother is from Great Britian.

He had his first experience on skis when he was aged three and continued the sport recreationally until he was 15, when he began to take the sport more seriously.

Aside from skiing, he is a qualified gardener, and interestingly his uncle, Peter Winterbottom, is a former England Rugby International player.
