James Davies has captained the Welsh 7s team and played at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games where he helped his country to the plate final.

The Welshman made his debut for Scarlets in 2014, making 23 appearances in his maiden season and going on to score four tries and top the leader board as the most successful ball winner at the breakdown.

Davies made his Olympic debut at the Rio 2016 Games, where he won silver with the Team GB 7s team.

He is the younger brother of Jonathan Davies, who has been named in the British & Irish Lions squad twice and was player of the series on the 2017 tour.
