BIOGRAPHY

Belfast-born Iain Lewers started his hockey career playing for Ireland, making 80 appearances for the Emerald Isle, before sitting out of international hockey for three years in order to make himself available for selection for Great Britain. He made his GB bow in May 2011 before representing England for the first time a month later.

The defender won bronze at the Commonwealth Games in 2014, the EuroHockey Championships in 2011 and in the 2012/13 World League.

He played for Team GB at the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games, including finishing fourth at the former.
