BIOGRAPHY

Graeme Thomas switched from rugby union to rowing at the age of 20 and went on to claim a World Championship bronze medal in the men’s quad in 2013.

A year later, the Preston-born rower upgraded to world silver in the same event as well as adding European Championship silver to his collection.

In 2015, Thomas added European quad bronze to his haul and, though he was selected for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, he was forced to withdraw due to illness.

The following year, the Agecroft RC rower won an incredible World Championships silver after replacing an injured Pete Lambert when the boat was already out on the water.
