After missing out on London 2012 selection to the most decorated Olympic sailor of all time, Sir Ben
Ainslie, Giles Scott dominated the Finn class in the build-up to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Huntingdon-born Scott was unbeaten for three years from 2013, a run that included victory at the 2014 Sailing World Championships.
In the lead up to the Games the sailor continued to impress and won Finn silver at the Princess Sofia Trophy, Palma in April 2016.
Later that year, Scott won gold at the Olympic Games and was subsequently awarded an MBE for services to sailing.
