  • Event Pair (M2-)
  • Date of Birth 02/10/1989
  • Born Guildford, Surrey

A world under-23 and junior champion, George Nash graduated seamlessly to the senior set-up, forging a partnership with Will Satch that delivered a silver medal in the men’s pair at the Belgrade World Cup in 2012.

At the London 2012 Olympic Games, Nash – whose aunt also rowed for Great Britain in the 1970s – won bronze in the men's pair with Satch, while in 2013 he was a member of the men's eight that won Britain's first ever world title in the event.

In 2014, the Surrey-born rower was moved into Great Britain's flagship boat, the men's coxless four, and won gold at the 2014 World Championships as well as European gold in the same year and another continental title in 2016.

Nash retired in 2016 having helped the men's four win gold at Rio 2016, the fifth consecutive Games at which that boat had triumphed.
