BIOGRAPHY

Desiree Henry was one of seven who lit the Olympic cauldron at the London 2012 Opening Ceremony after being nominated by double Olympic champion decathlete Daley Thompson.

The 2011 world youth champion over 200m, Henry was part of the British 4x100m relay team that won European gold in 2014 before finishing fourth as part of the quartet for the worlds in 2015.

Henry earned selection for her Olympic Games debut for Team GB in Rio in 2016, and left with her maiden medal - a bronze - joining Asha Philip, Dina Asher-Smith and Daryll Neita on the podium.
