David Davies is one of the most successful Welsh swimmers of all time, having won two medals from three Olympic Games. He made an immediate impact with 1500m bronze at the 2004 Games in Athens before securing 10km Marathon silver in the event's debut four years later in Beijing.
At the 2009 World Championships David placed fourth in the 800m freestyle swimming a new British record, placed sixth in the 1500m freestyle and eighth in the 400m freestyle.
David competed at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Spain and won the silver in the 200m. He won a second silver medal as part of the 4X200m Freestyle Team.
