BIOGRAPHY

Ashley Jackson made his Olympic debut at Beijing 2008 as the men’s hockey team finished fifth in the tournament.

The following year, the Tunbridge Wells-born athlete was a member of the England squad which claimed gold at the EuroHockey Championships and he finished fourth with Team GB at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Jackson became the first Englishman to win hockey's world young player of the year in 2009 and picked up a bronze at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

After competing in his third Olympics at Rio 2016, the British hockey stalwart switched field hockey for ice hockey, joining Basingstoke Bison.
