Adam Yates was chosen to make his Olympic Games debut at Rio 2016, where he competed in the men’s road race.

The twin brother of former points race world champion Simon Yates, Adam finished fourth overall in the 2016 Tour de France and became the first British cyclist to win the event’s young rider classification.

The Bury-born athlete burst onto the scene with two bronze medals at the 2011 National Track Championships and finished ninth at the 2017 Giro d’Italia.
