Team GB off to Paris
When it came to Paris 2024 Quota spots, Team GB topped the table with an impressive twenty quota spots secured across six different sports.
Eden Cheng secured the first of those in the diving pool, claiming gold in the women's 10m platform final, before the 12-strong squad of women's rugby sevens team clinched their ticket to Paris with a dominant display against the host country in the gold medal match.
Three quota spots were won in the boxing, courtesy of Delicious Orie in the men's +92kg, Charley Davison in the women's 54kg and Rosie Eccles in the women's 66kg categories.

Teenage archer and double European Games champion, Penny Healey secured a quota spot in the women's individual recurve while Ryan Westley booked Team GB a place in men's canoe slalom.
Elsewhere, in the modern pentathlon, silver for Joe Choong and bronze for Olivia Green added two more quota spots to the Paris haul.
Teenagers taking over
The European Games is the perfect opportunity for up-and-coming athletes to show their worth on the international stage and numerous youngsters took their chance to shine in Poland, with seven of Team GB’s medallists and three European Games champions still only teenagers.
Desharne Bent-Ashmeil, 18, and Amy Rollinson, 19, won diving gold in the 3m synchronised springboard while Healey, 18, continued her formidable run of form by topping the podium in the women’s recurve and the women's recurve team. A double gold for the teenage star.

Robbie Lee, also 18, earned silver in the 10m platform and his achievement was equalled by Lucy Hall, who picked up a shooting medal of the same colour in the mixed trap.
The other two teenage athletes to reach the podium were artistic swimming duo Ranjuo Tomblin, 17, and Beatrice Crass, 19, who walked away with double bronze in the mixed duet free and mixed duet technical.
Team GB’s best performance by sport
There were two sports in particular which Team GB excelled, topping the overall medal count in the rugby sevens and BMX freestyle with a gold in each.
The team came second overall in archery and modern pentathlon but won more medals than any other nation in the latter.
Team GB also came third overall in canoe slalom and diving.
Firsts of the Games
Ranjuo Tomblin became the first male to represent Team GB in artistic swimming, winning two bronze medals along the way.

Fun facts
Jade Jones won European Games gold in 2015 and repeated that achievement in 2023. Taekwondo wasn’t part of the Minsk 2019, meaning Jones has never lost a fight at a European Games.
The women's recurve archery team retained their gold medal from Minsk with Bryony Pitman becoming a repeat gold medallist.
Two-time European Games 2023 medallist James Heatly's grandad was an Olympian. Peter Heatly competed in the 3m springboard and 10m platform at the 1948 and 1952 Olympics.
