Olympians Non Stanford and Eniola Aluko head up the list of those within the Olympic Movement to receive honours in the King’s Birthday Honours List, which marks the extraordinary contributions and service of people across the UK.
Non, a Rio 2016 Olympian, receives an MBE for services to Triathlon in Wales whilst Eniola, a London 2012 Olympian, receives her MBE for services to Association Football and Charity.
The British Olympic Association’s Chief Medical Officer, Niall Elliott, is awarded an MBE for services to Sports and Exercise Medicine through his work with British Olympians and as sportscotland Institute of Sport’s Head of Sports Medicine.
Our congratulations also go to the former CEO of UK Sport, Liz Nicholl, on her Damehood, as well as British Paralympic Association’s CEO Dave Clarke, who receives the OBE.
Former BOA Board member and current World Triathon Vice President Ian Howard receives an MBE for his services to triathlon.
There are further OBE’s for British Cycling CEO Jon Dutton, Paralympians Alfie Hewitt and Gordon Reid, and UK Anti-Doping’s former Vice Chair Pippa Britton.
David Pond, the former CEO of Wheelchair Rugby receives an MBE, whilst Maria McLoughlin, the Chair of the Women's Artistic Gymnastics Technical Committee at British Gymnastics, also receives an MBE for services to Gymnastics
