Eight years after winning gold at the first ever European Games in Baku, Jade Jones ensured history repeated itself with a dominant display in Krakow.
With yet another medal to add to an already glittering set, here are five things you may not know about the taekwondo legend…
Jade Jones was the first-ever Brit to win Olympic taekwondo gold
Jade Jones wrote her way into Team GB folklore as she became the first British athlete to win an Olympic taekwondo gold medal in 2012.
With the London crowd roaring her on, Jones defeated China’s Hou Yuzhuo 6-4 in the final, having already beaten the top seed, Tseng Li-Cheng of Chinese Taipei, in the semi-finals.
And she still was only a teenager.
"My eyes were on gold, no matter how young I was and no matter that was my first Olympics,” she said.
"Even now, I’m only just starting to appreciate like, wow, I did that when I was so young.”
Jade Jones nickname is 'the headhunter'
If Jade Jones is aiming for your head, take cover.
The two-time Olympic champion from 2012 and 2016 is aptly named 'the headhunter' as she prefers to score her points from her opponent's head.
Just one of the ways you can score in the sport, Jones has won several of her major titles by striking high with her legs.
Jade wasn't the best-behaved child
The Welsh star began taekwondo at the age of eight after her grandfather caught her misbehaving with friends.
And the sport soon whipped her into shape, a taste of the podium coming when she took bronze at the European Taekwondo Championships in 2010.

"My grandad got me into taekwondo," she said.
"I was quite naughty when I was younger, and he wanted to get me interested in something more productive.
"He took me down to the local leisure centre and it was by chance that it was Taekwondo that I took up."
Jade Jones was on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins
With two Olympic titles already in the bag, Jones went into Tokyo 2020 looking to claim an impressive three-peat but defeat in the Round of 16 saw those dreams dashed.
Struggling to re-find her love for sport, Jones decided to refocus her mind and joined the 2022 season of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins and reaching the final.
"I’d just lost my third Olympics going into it, so I wanted to figure myself out a little bit," said Jones, who has also appeared on Celebs Go Dating.
"Most people go on it to see for yourself if you’re a strong person. So, I wanted to see how strong I was.
"It is hard, but it's amazing.
Jade Jones has her sights set on Paris
The double Olympic champion defeated Hungary's Luana Marton inside two rounds in the European Games gold medal match in Poland.
It completed a flawless day on the mat for the 30-year-old, who has her eyes firmly set on more Olympic success in Paris next summer.
"It’s obviously been a long journey," she said.
"Everyone knows – losing in Tokyo – it’s hard to stay on top, you know, and I’m getting older.
"People don’t understand how hard sport is, the rollercoaster of it.
"I'm just trying to take it step by step. Obviously, I’ve got to qualify first, so these are big, important ranking points, so I’m really happy.
"I got gold in Rome, I got gold here, so it’s all looking really good. I just want that chance to try and go for history again and I will give it absolutely everything I’ve got to try and achieve it again."
