Dina Asher-Smith finished third in her opening race of the season while Beth Dobbin and Daniel Rowden were also in action at the Wanda Diamond League meeting in Doha.
On the same track she won world gold on three years ago, Asher-Smith ran 22.37s to finish third in the women’s 200m.
The race was won by Olympic bronze medallist Gabby Thomas, with the American running a meeting record of 21.98s to finish ahead of Jamaica’s Shericka Jackson and Asher-Smith.
In the same race, Dobbin finished in sixth place with a season’s best of 23.06s.
Meanwhile, Daniel Rowden finished fourth as he started his Diamond League campaign in the men’s 800m.
In a slow and tactical race, Rowden ran 1:49.56s to just miss out on the top three.
Kenyan teenager Noah Kibet prevailed in a time of 1:49.08s, with Australian Peter Bol in second and Canadian Marco Arop in third.
The next Diamond League meeting of the season will take place at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham next weekend, with several Team GB stars set to compete.
Alongside Asher-Smith, the likes of Laura Muir, Keely Hodgkinson and Holly Bradshaw will be in action.
