It was a week to savour for Great Britain at the 2024 UEC European Track Championships.
The competition came at a crucial time - just over six months to go until the Olympic Games in Paris.
GB delivered a brilliant haul of 14 medals, finishing top of the medal table with six golds, six silvers and two bronzes, banking vital qualifying points and laying down markers for Paris.

The Championships ran from Wednesday 10 January to Sunday 14 January 2024.
Where were the European Track Cycling Championships?
They took place in Apeldoorn, Netherlands at the Omnisport Apeldoorn. One of Europe's best-known velodromes, the venue has twice hosted the UCI Track Cycling World Championships.
What events were there at the European Track Cycling Championships?
22 different events took place; 11 for men and 11 for women.
The Olympic disciplines were all represented: team sprint, sprint and keirin for the sprinters and team pursuit, omnium and Madison for endurance riders.
There were also medals distributed in non-Olympic disciplines: the 500m, 1000m time trial, individual pursuit, points race, scratch race, elimination race.
How did GB do at the European Track Cycling Championships?
GB won medals on each and every night of competition in the Netherlands, ending with 14 in a triumphant team performance.
Emma Finucane achieved the rare feat of winning three medals, reaching the podium in every discipline she entered. Finucane won sprint gold and silvers in team sprint and keirin to end as one of the top performers across the whole Championships. Finucane combined with Katy Marchant, Sophie Capewell and Lowri Thomas to reach the podium in the team event.
Marchant became Britain's first-ever European champion in the 500m time trial, one of plenty of medals in non-Olympic disciplines. Josie Knight took the individual pursuit title by a margin of three-thousandths of a second, GB dominating the podium with Anna Morris bagging bronze. Jess Roberts added to her growing palmares in non-Olympic disciplines with elimination race bronze.
The women's endurance squad fared well with Neah Evans putting in a fine all-round performance for omnium silver and the team pursuit squad showing strength with silver behind Italy.
On the men's side, Ethan Hayter won two titles in the omnium and team pursuit. The team pursuit quintet of Hayter, Charlie Tanfield, Ethan Vernon, Oliver Wood and Dan Bigham made a massive statement ahead of Paris with team pursuit gold ahead of the Danish world champions; Bigham showing just how good his legs were with individual pursuit gold in a GB one-two with Tanfield. Scratch race world champion Will Tidball's silver in the elimination race on the opening night.
GB's world-beating squad turn their attention to the Nations Cup series in the build-up to Paris with events in Adelaide (2-4 February), Hong Kong (15-17 March) and Milton (12-14 April).
