Hoy to join Murrayfield parade

Sir Chris Hoy is to be among the Olympic and Paralympic heroes paraded at Murrayfield during half-time of next month's EMC Autumn Test with New Zealand.

Six-time Olympic champion Hoy will be joined by fellow gold-medal winners canoeist Tim Baillie and mixed adaptive four rower David Smith on November 11 for the clash with the All Blacks, the Scottish Rugby Union have announced.

Silver medallists canoeist David Florence, sailor Luke Patience and blind/visually impaired cyclist Aileen McGlynn, plus Emily McGuire, a member of the British women's bronze medal-winning hockey team, will also be present, along with 14 others who took part in the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The New Zealand international is on course for a 67,144-capacity crowd, with 59,000 tickets having already been sold.

More than 42,000 tickets have been sold for the South Africa match on November 17 and more than 11,000 have been sold for the visit of Tonga in Aberdeen a week later.
