GB go down to Turkey

Great Britain women's basketball team suffered a second-half collapse as they lost 73-54 to hosts Turkey in the final game of a pre-Olympic invitational tournament in Ankara.

Turkey had held a narrow 30-28 lead at half-time and the score was 37-36 early in the third before the hosts began to run away with it.

The score was 50-40 moving into the final quarter and Britain could do nothing to stop the bleeding.

Jo Leedham led Britain with 14 points.

The team now head to Prague for back-to-back friendlies against the Czech Republic on Tuesday and Wednesday.
