BIOGRAPHY

Tim Kneale became the men’s double trap world record holder in 2014, but first shot to prominence four years earlier when he won Commonwealth Games bronze for the Isle of Man.

Kneale represented the Isle of Man in both rugby and cricket before taking up shooting more seriously at the age of 18. Two years later, in 2002, he was a World Championship medallist after taking team bronze in Finland.

Kneale secured a place for Rio 2016 with a silver medal win at the 2015 ISSF World Championships in Lonato, edged into fourth place by Team GB teammate Steven Scott.

In Rio, Kneale competed in the double trap, finishing fourth.
