Biography

Captain Ryan Giggs is the most decorated player in English football history and he also holds the record for the most Premier League appearances, currently 638.

He is also the only player to have played and scored in every Premier League campaign – lifting the trophy on 12 different occasions.

Across his Manchester United career he has also won the FA Cup four times, the League Cup on four occasions and the Champions League twice.

He has made 64 appearances for Wales, scoring 12 goals, and is a former captain of the national team, prior to his international retirement in 2007.

London 2012 was be Giggs’ first major tournament appearance however, where he was one of the three overage players and one of five Welshmen in the squad.
