Roger Hammond is a former Junior World Champion in Cyclo-Cross and came seventh in the road race at Athens 2004 which was his first outing for Team GB.He was only 12 seconds behind Paolo Bettini the eventual winner.

In 2006, specialising in the Spring Classics as well as cyclo-cross, Roger became one of the pillars of the Columbia team as well as a key-lead out man for fellow countryman, Mark Cavendish.

Roger continued to compete until 2012 when the 38 year-old placed 12
th at the National Cyclo-Cross Championships.
