Biography

Rachel Cawthorn became the first-ever British woman to medal at both the European and World Championships in 2010.

She suffered a winter of repeated illness in 2011 but competed at the World Championships that year and help qualify the K4 500m boat for London 2012.

Cawthorn was introduced to the sport through a talent identification scheme in 2004 and is also a keen knitter.
