Philip Hindes became a double Olympic gold medallist after triumphing in the team sprint at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, teaming up with Jason Kenny and Callum Skinner to take glory.

That saw Hindes defend his title from London 2012, when he, Kenny and Sir Chris Hoy rode to victory on home boards.

Hindes was awarded an MBE for services to cycling in the 2013 New Year Honours.
