Philip Hindes made his debut for Great Britain at the 2012 World Cup in Beijing and subsequently took part in the team sprint at the World Championships in Melbourne.
Born in Krefeld, Hindes formerly competed for Germany and won team sprint bronze at the 2010 World Junior Championships, but he was able to switch allegiances in 2010, courtesy of his British father Ian, who settled in Germany, having been stationed there with the British Army.
At the 2012 Olympics in London, Kenny won gold in the team sprint, with partners Chris Hoy and Jason Kenny.
