Scottish born Michael Goodfellow was first introduced to curling by a family friend, and since then has had much success as both a junior and a senior. Goodfellow competed in two Winter Universiades in 2009 and 2011, finishing 7th and 4th respectively.
As a senior, alongside Tom Brewster, Michael won the Scottish Curling Championships on three consecutive years; 2011, 2012 and 2013. He refers to his 2011 triumph as the proudest moment in his sporting career to date. Furthermore, he was a member of the successful British team that won silver medals at the World Championships in 2011, 2012 and a bronze in 2013.
