Biography

For the first World Cup of the 2012 season in Belgrade, Lindsey won a bronze medal in the women's eight with Jo Cook, Vicki Meyer-Laker, Olivia Whitlam, Emily Taylor, Jessica Eddie,  Katie Greves, Olivia Carnegie-Brown and (cox) Caroline O'Connor.

At the 2011 World Rowing Championships in Bled, Slovenia, Lindsey raced in the Women's Eight with crew mates Alison Knowles, Jo Cook, Jessica Eddie, Louisa Reeve, Natasha Page, Katie Greves, Victoria Thornley and (cox) Caroline O'Connor. The crew won a Bronze medal, just 2 seconds behind Canada.

During the 2011 World Cup Series Lindsey raced in the women's eight, taking a silver medal in Munich and 4th place in Lucerne.

At the 2011 GB Rowing Team Senior Trials held on 16-17 April at Eton/Dorney, Lindsey and crewmate Natasha Page finished 4th in the women's pair.

At the 2010 World Rowing Championships on New Zealand's Lake Karapiro, Lindsey and her crewmates came 4th in the women's eight.

For the 2010 World Cup Series Lindsey raced in the women's eight, winning gold in Bled, silver in Munich and bronze in Lucerne.  This was a promising season for the women's eight who had shown consistency throughout the World Cup series.

Lindsey grew up in Edinburgh where she took part in a variety of sports including Athletics and Basketball.  After studying at Birmingham she went to France for a year where she taught English and played Basketball for a local team.

She took up rowing in 2004 at Durham University as part of the GB Rowing Team's Start Programme, sponsored by Siemens, under Jim Chalmers.  She continued to row whilst working as a researcher for the National Institute of Mental Health in Birmingham.

Lindsay represented GB at the European Championships in 2007 and 2008, medalling both times.  She became a member of the senior women's squad at the start of the 2009 season.

She raced in the women's eight at the 2009 World Championships in Poznan, finishing 5th.  This followed a win in the eight at the Banyoles World Cup and 6th place in GB's second W2- in Munich. 

Lindsey now lives in Oxford and works part time for a local Market Research Company, Morgan Research.
