Hannah Miley is coached by her father Patrick, a former solider who works as a helicopter pilot for a North Sea oil company. She is a firm believer that without her father as her coach she would not be where she is now while Miley has a formidable record at the British Championships.Miley took her seventh successive 400m individual medley title at the trials back in March while she recorded her sixth in the 200m medley en route to booking Olympic swims in both. The Scot claimed her first major international long course title at the European Championships in 2010 in the 400m medley, following that up with Commonwealth gold the same year.Miley won world 400m medley silver in 2011 while she considers the American swimmer Misty Hyman, who took a shock gold in the 200m butterfly at the Sydney 2000 Olympics, as her hero.
