Biography

Greg Rutherford had trials with Aston Villa FC before focusing on athletics, winning his first national title in 2005. His fifth-place finish in 2009 is his best performance at a World Championships while he was the third best qualifier for the final at the 2008 Olympics.

At the 2012 Olympic Games in London, Rutherford won gold in the long jump.
