Biography

Glenn Kirkham made his Olympic debut at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. The mens team won their fifth/sixth place classification match against Korea to place fifth in the tournament. Kirkham was a member of England mens hockey squad which won gold at the 2009 EuroHockey Championhips. Kirkham has picked up over 100 international caps for England & Great Britain since making his international debut in 2003 against Belgium. Grimsby born Kirkham was a member of the GB team that qualified for the Olympics by overcoming India in Santiago in March. Kirkham scored twice during the 8–0 group victory over Russia. Having studied at Loughborough University, the 25-year-old works as a sports coach and plays for East Grinstead. When he was younger, Kirkham used to play youth football for Scunthorpe United.
