Andrew Pozzi played county-level football and rugby before switching his focus to athletics, where his performances as a junior earned him the British Athletics Outstanding Athlete of the Year Award for 2011.

At the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Pozzi missed out on the final of the men's 110m hurdles after finishing fifth in his semi-final in a time of 13.67 seconds.

Prior to Rio, Pozzi was one of the first track and field athletes to compete at London's Olympic Stadium, winning the BUCS student title at the test event.

After earning his Team GB place, he picked up an injury shortly before London 2012 and pulled out of his race through injury.

At the 2017 European Indoor Championships, Pozzi claimed his first European indoor title in a time of 7.51 seconds, becoming the first Brit to win the men's 60m hurdles title since the last of Colin Jackson's three victories in 2002.
