Yet another World Cup gold for Jamieson in Doha

Michael Jamieson's World Cup hot streak keeps rolling on after the Olympic silver medallist took another gold as the series moved to Doha.

Jamieson won two silvers at his first short course World Cup appearance in Moscow before adding two further medals as he travelled to Dubai.

The 25-year-old claimed 200m breaststroke gold and silver over the 100m equivalent in Dubai and was at it again in the former after making the short trip to Doha.

Jamieson’s margin this time was more than two seconds ahead of Mikhail Dorinov of Russia at the same pool that will host next year’s World Short Course Championships.

In equally as good form on the World Cup series is Jamieson’s British teammate Sophie Allen, who took another silver in the 200m medley.

She was first fifth in the 100m breaststroke while the third of the Brits in Doha, Liam Tancock, placed sixth in the 100m backstroke and fifth in the 100m medley.
