It is crunch time for Britain’s short track speed skaters this week with the first of two Olympic qualifying events taking place in Turin as we give a flavour of the next seven days of sporting action.
After rounds in Shanghai and Seoul, the third short track World Cup of the season lands in Italy with places at Sochi 2014 up for grabs.
Combined with next weekend’s fourth and final leg in Kolomna, Britain’s skaters will know their Olympic fate with Elise Christie and Jon Eley expected to lead the individual qualifiers.
Elsewhere, there is further winter action as the next Grand Prix of Figure Skating leg takes place in the form of the NHK Trophy in Tokyo while long track speed skating’s World Cup starts in Calgary.
Summer sport action is slowing down as winter ramps up but there is the Singapore and Tokyo legs of swimming’s 25m World Cup to look out for with plenty of British interest.
And staying with aquatics and Britain’s men are in action at the Water Polo European Championships Qualification Tournament Round Three in Sunderland.
