This week in Olympic sport: June 24-30

Britain’s swimmers take centre stage this week as they bid to qualify for next month’s World Championships in Barcelona; we take a look at a selection of Olympic sport taking place this week below.

Sheffield’s Ponds Forge will play host to the British Gas Championships, doubling up as the world trials, however let’s not forget the Tour de France’s Grand Depart with stage one from Porto-Vecchio to Bastia on Saturday.

Chris Froome will bid to keep the yellow jersey in Team Sky’s hands while England’s hockey teams tackle the World League Semi-Final – the women continuing their campaign in London and the men getting underway in Malaysia.

And then Diamond League arrives in the UK for the first of two meetings over the summer, Birmingham’s Alexander Stadium playing host on Saturday and Sunday before the Anniversary Games in London next month.
