Christmas brings a quieter winter sport schedule but there is still plenty to get excited about with the start of both the Tour de Ski and Four Hills Tournament as we preview this week below.
Cross-country skiing’s equivalent to cycling’s Tour de France, the Tour de Ski, gets underway in Oberhof while ski jumping’s Four Hills Tournament starts across Germany in Oberstdorf.
British hope for the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games Andrew Musgrave enjoyed a fine time of things on the Tour de Ski last year, so it is definitely one to look out for.
And, not to be left alone, alpine skiing’s World Cup circuit takes in two venues in Lienz in Austria and Bormio in Italy with the New Year set to bring further action as Sochi 2014 nears.
