Double Olympic champion Laura Trott is relishing the prospect of getting back onto the Lee Valley VeloPark track this weekend as she gears up for the 2014/15 Revolution Series in London.
Fresh from winning two gold medals at the European Championships in Guadeloupe, Trott will return to the track where she claimed her the team pursuit and omnium titles at London 2012.
She will be joined by fellow European champions Katie Archibald, Elinor Barker, Ed Clancy and Andy Tennant and will face world-class opposition in the omnium with Marianne Vos set to make an appearance on the boards.
“I’m really looking forward to getting back onto the track in London and kick starting my season, hopefully with a win in front of a home crowd,” said Trott.
“It’ll be interesting to test myself against someone as talented as Marianne Vos although I’m hoping to have the edge on the track even though I’m sure she’ll push me all the way.”
