Triathletes on course for rain

Great Britain's triathletes will face rainy periods as they go for gold at the Olympics.

Alistair and Jonny Brownlee are considered real contenders in the triathlon as it takes place in central London. But they will have to contend with showers moving in from the west as they brave the Serpentine, forecasters said.

"There is rain coming in over central London from the west," Billy Payne, a meteorologist with MeteoGroup, said. "There will be showers spread over several hours throughout the afternoon and we'll see generally cloudy conditions."

He added: "We shouldn't see the kind of downpours that we have seen recently and it should clear up into the evening."
