Team GB's Jackson finishes tenth in St Moritz

Great Britain’s John Jackson led his four-man bobsleigh contingent to another top-ten World  Cup finish in an eventful competition in St Moritz that saw the USA crash out and Latvia take first place.

Jackson, Stuart Benson, Bruce Tasker and Joel Fearon produced a combined time of 2:10.45minutes, while Latvia’s Oskars Melbardis led his team to victory in a time of 2:09.52mins.

Alexander Zubkov of Russia was second with his crew and remains second in the overall standings behind Germany’s Maximilian Arndt, who came third in St Moritz.

Arndt leads the standings with 1,238 points from Zubkov (1132) and Chris Spring of Canada (1096), while Jackson is down in 11th on 818 points.

Nick Cunningham’s USA team were disqualified after they suffered a crash towards the end of their second run and finished in last place.
