Chris Froome soaks it all up after his bronze medal win in the time trial with a trip to the British House.

It was a special day for golf as it made its return to the Olympic Games after a 112 year hiatus.

There was good performances in the ring for Team GB with Joshua Buatsi smashing his way to the quarter finals.

While Katherine Grainger and Vicky Thornley claimed silver on the water.

There was another silver on the water for David Florence and Richard Hounslow while Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro were majestic in the dressage.

Andy Murray was two for two on the court as he claimed a win in the singles before he teamed up with Heather Watson.

And the day ended with two more medals as the men's 7s team claimed a silver and the men's team sprint cycling trio won the first gold of the Games on the track.
