Preview: Friday 14 February at the Sochi 2014 Olympics

It's another busy day with 15 Team GB athletes in action in four different sports at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games. Oh and it's also Valentine's Day and exactly 30 years since Torvill and Dean won figure skating ice dance gold in Sarajevo.

After both British rinks won today, the women’s quartet of skip Eve Muirhead, Vicki Adams, Anna Sloan and Claire Hamilton will be looking for back-to-back victories for the first time in Sochi against Japan.

David Murdoch’s men’s rink of Greg Drummond, Scott Andrews and Michael Goodfellow have won their last three in a row and will bid to make it four against Denmark tomorrow evening.

Andrew Musgrave returns after some choice words following his historic performance in the sprint and he’ll once again be joined by team-mates Andrew Young and Callum Smith.

Musgrave became Britain’s most successful cross-country skier at the Olympics with a quarter-final berth in the sprint but claimed he expected more from himself.

Young is making his second Olympic appearance in Sochi after a debut at Vancouver 2010 while Smith will compete in his third event of these Games.

Lizzy Yarnold is well placed as she leads the women’s skeleton after two of four runs.

Shelley Rudman has also got to grips with the track at the Sanki Sliding Centre and will look to move up from her current position of 11th.

Before the women complete their event tomorrow, the men will contest their first two runs with Kristan Bromley set for a fourth Olympic appearance and Dominic Parsons making his debut.

Amanda Lightfoot will complete her campaign at her maiden Winter Olympics in the 15km individual after placing 75th in the 7.5km sprint on Sunday.
