Phillips edges further into contention at Luhmuhlen

Former world champion Zara Phillips produced an unerring cross country performance to move into second place at the Luhmuhlen Horse Trials.

Phillips, who won team three-day event silver at last year's Olympics, backed up her fourth place in the dressage with a solid ride on High Kingdom and heads into Sunday's decisive jumping brimming with confidence.

New Zealand's Andrew Nicholson, riding Mr Cruise Control, leads the way and knows victory would secure him the overall HSBC FEI Classics title.

Phillips' British Olympic team-mate William Fox-Pitt climbed from 13th to fourth on Neuf des Coeurs, following an impressive cross-country performance.
