Olympic champion Helen Glover returns to the water at next month's rowing World Cup - but with a new partner.
Glover and Heather Stanning started Great Britain's gold rush at London 2012 with their memorable gold in the women's pair, Team GB's first-ever women's rowing Olympic victory.
But Stanning is now back on duty with the British Army and Polly Swann, who narrowly missed a 2012 women’s eight place after picking up an injury, is her replacement.
Glover and Swann will also race in the eight, alongside Frances Houghton, Katie Greves, Beth Rodford, Jess Eddie, Vicky Thornley, Victoria Meyer-Laker and cox Zoe de Toledo.
There are plenty of familiar faces in the 42-strong squad for the regatta in Sydney but many are competing in new-look boats.
Olympic men’s four champions Alex Gregory, Peter Reed and Andrew Triggs Hodge will race in an powerful and experienced looking men's eight.
Olympic bronze medallists Moe Sbihi, Tom Ransley, cox Phelan Hill and 2011 World silver medallist Dan Ritchie complete the line-up, alongside newcomers Lance Tredell and Matt Gottrel, who hadn't been in a rowing boat before 2009.
“The eight is proving fun and a new challenge to brush the winter cobwebs away," said British Rowing's performance director Sir David Tanner.
“It is a good mix of our established big guns and new names.
“We are expecting very competitive women’s fields and doubling up into an eight will be a tough challenge with a tight racing schedule but it will also give the chance for plenty of racing at the start of a new season."
Graeme Thomas joins Olympians Sam Townsend, Bill Lucas and Charles Cousins in a men’s quad with newcomers Peter Lambert and John Collins in the double. In the absence of Olympic bronze medallist Alan Campbell, Jonathan Walton competes in the single scull.
Brothers and Olympic lightweight silver medallists Richard and Peter Chambers have been split across two boats for the event.
Richard races in a double scull with Olympic reserve Adam Freeman-Pask while Richard maintains his place in the lightweight quad alongside fellow Olympian Chris Bartley and newcomers Chris Boddy and Jonno Clegg.
